Poggers SMP Rules & Policies
Welcome to the official rules page for poggers.io!
To keep the vibes high and ensure everyone has a fun, relaxing, and safe time, we have established a few basic ground rules. Whether you are building your first dirt hut on the SMP or hanging out in voice chat, these guidelines apply to all members of the poggers family.
Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse for breaking them, so please read through them carefully!
🏠 Home: Our Core Philosophy
Before we get into the specific dos and don'ts, it is important to understand the core philosophy of our community.
We believe that multiplayer Minecraft is at its best when players collaborate, respect one another, and feel safe knowing their hard work won't be destroyed. poggers.io is built on three main pillars:
- Mutual Respect: Treat others the way you want to be treated. Leave the drama at the door.
- Consent: Whether it is engaging in combat or building near someone's base, players should always have the agency to say yes or no.
- Fair Play: We are a strict zero pay-to-win community. Everyone grinds and survives on a level playing field.
⛏️ SMP Server Rules
These rules apply directly to your actions within the Minecraft world.
- No Griefing or Stealing: Do not break, alter, or build on another player's property without their explicit permission. Taking items from chests that aren't yours is stealing, even if the chest is left unlocked.
- Consent-Based PvP Only: We are a friendly survival server, not an anarchy realm. Player vs. Player combat is only allowed if both parties agree beforehand. Trapping portals, randomly attacking players, or spawn-killing is strictly forbidden.
- No Cheating or Hacked Clients: The use of x-ray mods/resource packs, hacked clients, auto-clickers, or anything that gives you an unfair advantage over vanilla players will result in a permanent ban.
- No Malicious Exploits: Do not use item duplication glitches to ruin the economy. (Note: Standard vanilla mechanics like TNT duping for tree farms are permitted, but duplicating diamonds, netherite, or shulkers is not).
- Respect Server Performance: Please avoid building massive, lag-inducing redstone clocks or keeping hundreds of animals in a tiny, un-culled pen. If a farm significantly drops the server's TPS (Ticks Per Second), staff will ask you to modify or dismantle it.
- Give People Space: Don't build right next to someone else's base without asking them first. The map is massive, so spread out and claim your own terrain!
💬 Discord Rules
Our Discord server is an extension of the in-game world. The same level of respect is expected in all text and voice channels.
- Be Respectful & Chill: Hate speech, racism, sexism, homophobia, harassment, or bullying of any kind will result in an immediate and permanent ban. We have zero tolerance for toxicity.
- Keep it SFW (Safe For Work): We want a comfortable environment for everyone. Do not post NSFW images, inappropriate jokes, or sexually suggestive content.
- No Spamming or Advertising: Don't flood the chat with excessive caps, emojis, or copypastas. Advertising other Minecraft or Discord servers in public channels or through unsolicited DMs to our members is prohibited.
- Use the Right Channels: Keep memes in the meme channel, bot commands in the bot channel, and support questions in the help channel. This keeps the server organized and easy to read.
- Voice Chat Etiquette: No mic-spamming, playing loud music through your microphone, or using disruptive voice changers. If the VC asks you to stop being loud or disruptive, please respect their request.
- English Only in Public Channels: To ensure our staff can effectively moderate the chat and keep everyone safe, please keep all public channel conversations in English.
🛑 Staff Note: The Admin and Moderator team has the final say on all rule infractions. We utilize robust logging tools (like CoreProtect) and can track all blocks broken, items taken, and chat messages sent. We reserve the right to warn, mute, kick, or ban players who continuously disrupt the peace or intentionally look for loopholes in these rules. Play fair, be kind, and have fun!
